The prototype of this crosswalk is the legendary "Escher Steg" situated in Ravensburg, a city close to Wangen. 
The basic kit of the crossing spans up to two tracks. It can, however, be extended optionally by using the extension. Therefore, it can also be used for larger railway station areas.
